Who I am; what I do…
TECHNICAL: I help medical device manufacturers, defense contractors, and regulated companies communicate complex quality and compliance topics clearly.
As Quality Director at an ISO 13485/FDA-registered facility, I've spent 10+ years navigating FDA regulations, quality management system implementations, and ITAR compliance. Now I translate that expertise into content that actually resonates with technical audiences—because I've been in their shoes. I write: Technical blog posts | White papers | Case studies | Compliance guides | Quality system documentation Industries: Medical devices, aerospace/defense, manufacturing, quality management software Let's talk if you need someone who understands the substance, not just the style.
CREATIVE: I write against forgetting.
Time moves. Daughters grow up. Pets age. Parents become who they were always going to become, and we realize too late that we should have been paying closer attention. My work exists in that realization—the moment you understand you can't hold onto anything, and the decision to document it anyway.
For twenty years I've been collecting fragments: photographs from American highways, poems written in parking lots, essays about goodbye hugs and college drop-offs and the last good day with a rabbit named Monster. These aren't just my stories—they're evidence that we were here, that we loved fiercely, that we tried to see the world before it changed.
My book Love, Zach gathers travel narratives and photography from deliberate wanderings across America. My essays and poetry explore what it means to be present in an impermanent world—celebrating adventure while acknowledging loss, finding meaning in small moments before they become memory.
I'm available for literary collaborations, essay commissions, and projects that value preservation, introspection, and the kind of honesty that only comes from knowing everything ends.
